Exotic Pac-Rim is one of the leading turnkey system integrators of commercial and government communications, electrical, security, industrial, hospitality, traffic and logistics systems in the Indo-China region. With over 120 consultants and engineers across six offices in Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, the company maintains a network or partner and suppliers from around the world.
The company today continues to push new boundaries with its current operations and break new grounds with more recent involvements in regional oil & gas infrastructure projects. It was also identified by independent consultancy DP Corporate Ranking (DP Info), awarding Exotic Pac-Rim in its ‘Singapore 1000 Family of Rankings 2014’, in recognition of the most successful companies and SMEs. Today, Exotic Pac-Rim is poised to further advance offerings from its position as the premier solutions provider in commercial and government systems for generations to come.
Humble Beginnings
Exotic Pac-Rim started its business journey in 1981. The Singapore-based company started off in the barter trade with a focus on Indo-China, dealing with various commodities including agricultural produce such as spices.
The rapidly developing region in the late 80s and early 90s soon signaled an increasing demand for infrastructural and technological development led by modernising governments and rapidly expanding businesses. This prompted Visco, an associate of Exotic Pac-Rim, to pioneer the import and implementation of world-class products from global brands to fulfill the need for reputable and reliable systems in these countries.
Ethos & Diverse Portfolio
The company maintains its founding ethos of ‘Global Research, Local Presence’, continuously investing and connecting with governments, organisations and industries in every country it deals in. It is this dedication and credibility that has earned it a multitude of projects with notable clients and partners that include the MINDEF, NCS, Embassy of Kuwait in Cambodia, Laos Cultural Centre, 65 Stories Lotte Hanoi and numerous governments and ministries in the region.
Exotic Pac-Rim also believes in being a catalyst of change, always eager to step up and take charge. Key examples include working with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Transport to initiate license plate systems and speed camera, a poject funded by the World Bank for Vietnam. EPR also initiated implementation of Retail Sales Security Surveillance systems for malls and luxury brand outlets, as well as conversion from analogue to 3D and digital systems for major cinema chains.
The length and breadth of its operations has attracted the attention of numerous global brands that have struggled to gain a foothold in elusive developing economies of Asia.
Strategic partnerships with established brands such as 3M, Alcatel-Lucent, Bosch, Cisco, Samsung, Sensormatic and Entrust, among others, underscores the successful execution of the company’s ethos, paving the way for growing economies to access and leverage on the latest technologies.
